Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes made the rounds on social media after his name was linked to the recent Robin Padilla-Mocha Uson issue.
DDS-related accounts claimed that Dantes was included just to drag the issue away from Uson.
Rumors surfaced that Robin Padilla impregnated OWWA official Mocha Uson. The said rumors spread via blind item from a famous showbiz site.
Padilla is known as the “Bad Boy” of Philippine Cinema and is currently married to actress-host Mariel Rodriguez.
Uson is a co-founder of the group Mocha Girls and is known for spreading disinformation, earning her the pejorative title “Queen of Fake News.” She is also a known Diehard Duterte Supporter (DDS.)
On Friday, July 22, Dantes topped the Twitter trend as he is being linked to the Padilla-Uson issue. In a now-deleted post, social media personality and a known DDS, Andrew Olivar posted a blind item that speaks of a guy nicknamed “doorbell” who impregnated a woman.
Netizens claimed that the blind item was Dantes as his name is known for the common sound of a ‘doorbell.’
Dantes was linked to Lindsay De Vera who was his co-star in the now-defunct series Alyas Robinhood.
Some netizens believed the said rumors while some decided to defend the Dantes saying that DDS supporters like Olivar are just trying to drag the actor into the pregnancy issue to divert the spotlight from his fellow DDS, Uson.
While Dantes himself didn’t give a statement yet regarding the pregnancy issue, his wife, Marian Rivera, posted on her official Facebook account on what seemed like her response to the issue.
The actress posted a photo with Dantes captioned the post as “Happy Friday” along with a heart-eyes emoji.
