Acclaimed actress Bea Alonzo is [finally] moving on from her controversial breakup with former beau-actor Gerald Anderson that stirred almost the entire social media world.
At the Summit Media Conference, Alonzo was pried with questions among them is her controversial breakup with Anderson.
In the interview, the actress confidently spoke about her failed romance with Gerald, she stressed that what has happened is just something she’s laughing about, now.
“If you’re talking about my ex, yes, I have moved on, hundred percent. Hahaha! Natatawanan ko na nga lang.”
Even though she didn’t name the guy, her words could refer to her most recent breakup.
In July 2019, their separation became controversial, not just because Bea revealed that Gerald ghosted her.
Rumors and speculations arose that Anderson had a third-party relationship with young actress Julia Barretto. Bea and Gerald have been in a relationship for nearly three years.
Despite the heartbreaking and non-closure breakup, she revealed that the ‘hurtful’ journey she experienced was worth it.
“Ang ganda nga na dinaanan ko yung journey na yun. Kasi pag nandun ka… Sa totoo, dapat ni-journal ko, e. Kasi nag-iiba talaga. Ang galing ng journey, ang ganda ng changes.”
She also said that in her 33 years of living, this was the first time that she got ‘ghosted’–a term when someone cuts off all communication without explanation — extends to all things, it seems. The healing was hurtful, but at the same time–she learned something from it.
“The thing is, at this time, 33 na ako. First time ako na-ghost, pero hindi ako first time na nagkaroon ng breakup—if that’s what you call it, kasi hindi nga siya formal breakup. But, hindi naman ito yung first time na may nag-end.”
She also added that this breakup was the first time; she’s had a lot of first-time experiences like her journey through healing that change her sense of self-awareness.
“But, the thing is, it’s the first time na mas naging aware ako of my healing through it all, and first time na malaki yung nagbago dahil dun sa sarili ko.
“Kala mo naman kung ano nagawa ko. Wala naman ako nagawa. Hahaha!”
Apart from Anderson, she was also in a relationship with Zanjoe Marudo, but separated after a four-year relationship. Alonzo also had a relationship with the late Mico Palanca.
