There were rumors circulating that Sarah Geronimo-Guidicelli or popularly known as Sarah G had offers from TV5 to transfer to the said Network.
This is due to Popstar’s absence on ABS-CBN’s variety show ASAP Natin ‘To.
As a result, the art card of the variety show wherein Sarah is a mainstay was replaced, removing her from it.
This art card got reposted by several artists of ASAP, including Lea Salonga.

In Ogie Diaz‘s showbiz update with Mama Loi, they cleared up the speculation why the singer had been absent in the show.
According to Mama Loi, a showbiz insider told her that the Kapatid network [really] had set their eyes on Geronimo to host their show Born to be a Star. That is why they were determined to get the singer from ABS-CBN.
“Ayon sa ating isang insider, si Sarah daw dapat ang host ng Born to be a Star sa TV5. So kinukuha daw talaga ng TV5 si Sarah na lumipat sa istasyon nila,” Mama Loi shared.
However, the Kapamilya network battled it out with TV5, counter-offering their offer for Sarah.
“Kaso hindi pumayag ang ABS-CBN. Talagang nakipag-counter offer. Inofferan din daw si Sarah para di raw siya umalis ng Kapamilya network,” Mama Loi added.
The explanation of the insider with Sarah’s absence in ASAP is because of the collaboration of ABS-CBN and TV5, airing the variety show in the Kapatid network.
“Dahil nga nanatili si Sarah na Kapamilya, so dahil nag-eere na yung ASAP sa TV5, kaya marahil yun daw ang dahilan kaya hindi lumalabas si Sarah sa TV. Kasi kumbaga parang tumanggi siya sa offer ng TV5 sa kanya,” relayed Mama Loi.
And with that, Sarah is still a Kapamilya.
“Nananatiling Kapamilya pa rin po si Sarah. Kapamilya pa rin po siya,” said Mama Loi.
The reason she is absent in the show is that she is preparing for her album.
“Nagpapahinga siya dahil gumagawa siya ng album,” Mama Loi added.
Also, a Viva Entertainment insider told ABS-CBN News on Monday, assuring the Popsters that the singer is still very much in the game.
“Nagpahinga lang siya talaga,” the source said. “Oo naman babalik siya sa ASAP!” the insider added.
