Not because of the pandemic, Ina Raymundo reveals why she went ahead with ‘Ampalaya Chronicles: Me & Mrs. Cruz’

Being a mother of five, actress Ina Raymundo had so much on her plate. She does not even have the time to do projects due to her responsibilities.

Raymundo, who has always been a hands-on mother to her kids, had numerous projects offered on her feet. Yet, she rejected most of it. Fortunately, her fans will get to see her onscreen once more since she accepted the lead role in the Ampalaya Chronicles: Me & Mrs. Cruz.

What made her decide to do the project?

According to her, the locked-in taping was favorable for her since it was only three days. If they will shoot the episode for more than weeks, the actress would not have accepted the offer.

Tsaka ito last year pa ‘to in-offer, bago pa magka-pandemic. And um-oo na ako nung time na yun,” she revealed.

The actress revealed that the production people behind the show came to a point that she was almost replaced, but still retained her.

“And I’m so thankful na naghintay sila sakin.

Raymundo also denied that the reason why she did not accept any projects was because of the coronavirus. Her family comes first. That is why her number one concern was the duration of the locked-in taping. Luckily for the actress, the locked-in taping only has three days.

“Hindi ako takot magka-Covid. That’s really not my concern. Kaya yung three days na ma-locked in, it was very ideal for me,” she explained.

However, if there will come a time that she will be offered a tempting role, the actress said that she will not reject the offer. Instead, she said that she’ll talk with the management to ease up her schedule.

Kailangan may break.”

Catch Ina Raymundo in the upcoming Ampalaya Chronicles: Me & Mrs. Cruz which will be available on iWantTFC on March 26. She plays Eva Cruz, a woman who becomes attracted to a man, 23 years younger than her.

The third installment of the series is directed by Real Florido and is produced by Firestarters Production. It also stars Kat Galang, Kristof Garcia, Mark Wei, JM Mendoza, Sophie Reyes, Nicki Morena, Ms. Frances Makil-Ignacio, and Paulo Angeles as Ina Raymundo’s leading man.
