Dimples Romana has worked in a lot of shows with a lot of artists. Her stint with ABS-CBN’s Huwag Kang Mangamba–she felt that it is somehow a reunion of sorts for her with other stars from her previous shows.
During an exclusive interview with RAWR Nation, Dimples shared how it feels working with the cast of the Kapamilya Network’s latest teleserye. Romana is reunited with the Gold Squad and she’s all praises to the group members.
“Yung Gold Squad parang mga anak ko yan, literal,” said Dimples. “I know that they are off to a very very good start.”
But it’s not just Francine Diaz, Andrea Brillantes, Seth Fedelin, and Kyle Echarri–she’s able to work in the teleserye. Romana and Diether Ocampo are reunited in the series too.
The actress felt happy that she and Diether are on the same teleserye after working in the 2009 TV series Only You.
“Working with Diether again was quite very refreshing kasi I worked with him in ‘Only You’. And we were just moving in very small circles in the industry.
“And I’m just happy that I get to work again with Kuya Diether.”
Apart from her co-star in Only You, she also got the chance to work with Mylene Dizon, who was with her in the 2010 series, Mara Clara, as well as Sylivia Sanchez and Mercedes Cabral in the 2016 teleserye, The Greatest Love, and Eula Valdez in the 2018 series, Kadenang Ginto alongside the Gold Squad.
“Andun sina Mama Ebyang, Tito Noni, Eula Valdez, Mercedes and Kuya Diether. Tapos nandun pa si ate Mylene Dizon. So parang Mara Clara, Greatest Love, Huwag Kang Mangamba altogether,” Dimples enumerated in excitement about the coming together of stars in her current series.
The reason why she is happy working with them [again] is all because of how she approaches whoever she works with. She chooses to be good friends with almost all of her co-actors throughout her acting career.
“All my friends know na kapag naging kaibigan nila ako, welcome sila sa bahay ko.
“None of my friends ever looked at me na mas malaki ang role nila sakin. Walang ganun. Wala akong naramdamang ganun. I always felt very welcome.
“That’s the reason why my friends have been my friends for the longest time. And they share my joys, my sufferings. I call them when I’m sad or happy.
“We remained friends with one another kasi we embraced each other not as celebrities nor co-actors, but as friends. Sabay-sabay kaming tumanda at lumaki sa industriya na naging mabuti samin,” Romana shared.
And it’s also because she knows how to appreciate everyone. Dimples never looked at the flaws of anyone.
“Everybody knows na I really appreciate everybody. And I always look into the good of everyone.”
