On a YouTube vlog, Derek Ramsay and Ellen Adarna claimed that ‘nothing happened’ between them until they became an official couple.
The two made the revelation while recalling their ‘first kiss’ in an exclusive interview with Dr. Vicki Belo, seen on the doctor’s newest YouTube vlog.
“Nothing happened to us, not even until naging kami,” Ramsay revealed in his interview with Dr. Belo.
He was referring to the dinner party in January that prompted the first romance rumors. The actor also added that he respects Ellen,
“There was something kasi she told me that night. ‘If this ever happens, it has to be when I’m sober so that I can feel the energy.’ She wasn’t sober. And all the other times when we were hanging out, it’s like, I [wanted to respect her], I wanted to know where this was going,” Ramsay narrated.
The couple’s confession got the attention of netizens and they didn’t buy the claim.
Some facebook users stated that even though they haven’t kissed before they got official, but they ‘fought in bed’ first.
Some netizens suspected that nothing happened between the two stars; they’re together most of the time.
One month after they publicly admitted their relationship, the couple announced that they are engaged.
During the interview, Belo also mentioned receiving a phone call from Ramsay, and he declared his wish to marry Adarna–less than a month after they met.
“This guy called me up. He calls me up, he goes, ‘This is the girl. I’m really going to propose. I’m getting married, Vicks. Do you know this?’ I go, ‘Ha? How long have you known her?’ ‘Three days, it would be one month,'”
Dr. Belo even teased Ramsay and asked him again if it’s true that they didn’t kiss before the proposal.
“So you were telling me that you guys didn’t kiss after one month. That means he already wanted to marry you (Ellen) before you kissed!” Vicki reiterated.
The actor stated that he instantly connected with Adarna, which led him to propose to her.
“There was just, it was just an instant connection. And that’s the thing! We didn’t test drive anything. I didn’t know that we were going to get married. I just know I wanted to marry her. So I wasn’t assuming that she’d say yes.”
After weeks of romance rumors, Ramsay and Adarna declared about their relationship in February.
Recently, dating rumors got ignited after getting intimate at a dinner party. They were also seen together on Valentine’s Day at a beach resort in Batangas.
