Marjorie Barretto slams bashers who attacked her daughter and her family as the issue about the relationship of her children with their father, Dennis Padilla, resurfaces.
It started when columnist Lolit Solis brought up the issue of Dennis with his children with his ex-wife Marjorie.
Solis is concerned about the root of Julia and her siblings’ anger towards their father Dennis.
She also noted that Dennis should also do a self-assessment as to why his children have resentment towards him.
The columnist then wished that the family should settle their problem by accepting each other’s shortcomings or else it will be a never-ending issue.

The said post of Lolit earned comments from critics who judged the concerned parties. Marjorie then replied to some of it to clear out her name and her children.
A netizen mentioned that Julia is ‘mukhang pera’ just like her mother that’s why she broke up with Joshua Garcia for Gerald Anderson.
Marjorie pointed out that Julia has her own money and does not need any man to satisfy her financial needs. She then asked the netizen to stop judging based on rumors.
Julia recently confirmed her relationship with Gerald after the rumors that she is the third party of the latter and ex-girlfriend Bea Alonzo. The young star also left Joshua Garcia, her ex-boyfriend brokenhearted because of the affair.
Another netizen labeled Julia and her siblings as useless children and that they deserve karma. Marjorie then replied, “It’s the other way around.”
Verily, Dennis’s children will not kindle anger against him if he is a good father to them.
The other critic blamed Marjorie for causing the anger of her children against their father. The critic also pointed out that she should have make a way to connect her children to their father.
She then replied, “Grabe! You don’t know me. Wala akong poot sa dibdib ko. Look at yourself. You don’t know me and yet you are so affected. Relax.”
In a vlog with daughter Julia, Dennis owned up to his fault and admitted that his anger and temper caused his failed relationship with Marjorie.
Weeks after the vlog was released, Marjorie appeared on Toni Talks and said that she never thought that there will be a time when Dennis will own up to his mistake.
“He and I have been separated for more than 14 years. I never thought the day would come that he would say na may kasalanan din siya sa breakdown ng marriage namin. He said na it was his temper, it was his anger.
“I was with him for such a long time. I know I was a good wife. I know I was there in more downs than ups. I know that I forgave him over and over again, so I was wondering why he didn’t remember me as a good wife, or why wasn’t he spending that much time with his kids,” Marjorie said.
She then addressed the assumptions that she is controlling their children to avoid seeing their father: “People misjudged me, thinking na I was encouraging my kids not to have a good relationship with their father. As a matter of fact, even Dennis thought for a long time that I was the one preventing him from seeing my kids. No, eh. I want my kids to have peace with both parents kasi I don’t want them to harbor hatred kasi mabigat yun, lalo na kung magulang mo yung kaaway mo.”
Though there were critics and netizens who understand the situation of Marjorie and Dennis’s family.
The netizen pointed out that Dennis should realize that he has shortcomings as a father to his children and that may have created a gap in their relationship. The netizen also added that she may not like Julia, but she does not deserve to be labeled as a ‘bad daughter’ since it is not her fault if her parents separated.
Marjorie then thanked the netizen for the said comment.
