In the latest YouTube vlog of Dr. Vicki Belo, she invited the controversial couple, Derek Ramsay and Ellen Adarna, to share their wedding plans. It is the second part of her up close and personal interview with the celebrity couple.
During the interview, Derek and Ellen revealed that they didn’t have their first kiss until after they became an official couple.
The two officially became a couple on February 4, with Adarna eventually moving into Ramsay’s house shortly after.
Rumors of their romance began circulating online for weeks after they were spotted together in several photos. It was also noticed that Ramsay is getting closer to Adarna’s son, Elias (son to previous partner John Lloyd Cruz).
“Nothing happened to us, not even until naging kami,” he confessed.
The actor narrated how their awkward first kiss happened.
“And then there was this one time, I took her home, and I said, okay, this is the night I think at least I’ll get a kiss,” he recalled. “And I think she was thinking the same thing. And we were there in the car. … [Then she kissed me], but not with her lips—she used her teeth. She jammed her teeth into my face.”
In reaction to this, she laughingly said that it only happened by accident.
“Because ang tagal kong inisip. Parang, okay, should I kiss him? Okay, ito na. And then natawa na ‘ko sa sarili ko. Why am I thinking about this? Why am I stressing about this? So finally, I decided to kiss him, and then natawa na ‘ko sa sarili ko,” she said.
“It was more like, ‘bam!’,” added Derek. “And I was, like, in shock. And then she just gets out of the car and she dances to her [house].”
Ramsay, 44, and Adarna, 33, got engaged on March 30 just months after being in a relationship.
As he previously stated, he said he is convinced that she is “the one” for him.
He described their relationship happened, unexpectedly.
“There was just… it was just an instant connection. And that’s the thing! We didn’t test drive anything,” he explained.
“I didn’t know that we were going to get married. I just know I wanted to marry her,” he added. “So I wasn’t assuming that [she’d] say yes.”
They previously announced that they will tie the knot before the year ends.
She shared that they have talked about their marriage about three times.
Ramsay said that Adarna was uncomfortable about the idea, “She was going to be a matron.”
Ellen affirmed, “I was traumatized by men.”
The sexy star admitted that she was not planning of marrying anymore not until Derek changed her mind.
“He makes it worth it,” she said.
He also explained the reason why it took him so long to settle down and remained single for years.
“Because my parents have the perfect marriage. I don’t want to make a mistake. It happens too often. People get together. They think they’re in love. They get married, and then what happens, they end up separated. So if it takes me 44 years, at least I know when I make that decision, it’s the right decision.”
The couple asked Vicki if she can be the godmother for their wedding in which she gladly accepted.
The couple are now filling up the details of their wedding, which will be a different type of wedding.
However, he said that they are not yet thinking of having a child soon.
The actor said he is still building up his relationship with his 18-year-old son, Ramsay, who is in Dubai with his mom Mary Christine Jolly.
When Vicki asked if he would like to have a son or a daughter with Adarna, he strongly disagreed to have a baby girl.
He jested, “I cannot have a girl. I will end up going to jail.”
It was during a dinner party in January that got people talking about Ellen and Derek’s chemistry. Prior, to this Ramsay said he was set up on a blind date with the former partner of Cruz.
