In the upcoming movie titled Silab, directed by Joel Lamangan, where a scene explicitly exposes Jason Abalos’ butt, the actor talked about the gist of the movie that highlighted a partner’s infidelity and shared his plans for his relationship with his long-time girlfriend, Vickie Rushton.
In a virtual press conference organized by Viva Films for the movie on July 2, the actor was asked about Rushton’s retirement in joining beauty pageants.
“Siguro nasa ano na kami ni Vickie eh, matagal na kong naghihintay na matapos si Vickie sa pagpa-pageant.
“Tingin ko ayon na ‘yon e. Sabi ko, ‘O tama na yan, hindi ka na pwede, tayo naman.’
“Kasi hinayaan ko siya talagang lumarga, gawin niya lahat ng gusto niya habang dalaga pa siya, so ngayon siguro panahon na para bumuo ng pamilya,” the actor shared.
Last month, Vickie announced that she’s closing her doors for pageantry.
If she were to win the Binibining Pilipinas – Miss International crown, she would no longer be eligible to compete for the Miss International crown.
The pageant sets the age limit from 18 to 28 years old. Vickie turned 29 in May 2021.
