Kapuso shows maintained their reign in weekend programming as GMA Network and GTV shows fill in the Top 10 rating chart.
Per data of AGB Nielsen, on August 14 and 15, the top ten highest-rating programs all came from GMA Network and its subsidiary network GTV, formerly GMA News TV.
The drama anthology Magpakailanman led the rating board on Saturday with 15.1%. The comedy sitcom Pepito Manaloto is second with 13.3% followed by the reality show Catch Me Out Philippines with 11.4%. The news and current affairs show, 24 Oras Weekend and Imbestigador came next in the ranking with 10.9% and 8.7%, respectively.
Completing the Top 10 shows for August 14 are Wish Ko Lang (7.0%), Tadhana (6.7%), Eat Bulaga! (6.3%), Nagbabagang Luha (6.0%), and Daddy’s Gurl (5.7%).
On Sunday, magazine show Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho topped the chart with a whopping 20.5% rating. Dingdong Dantes’s Amazing Earth followed with 17.4%, while Daig Kayo Ng Lola Ko earned 14.6%. 24 Oras Weekend and On Record came next with 13.7% and 6.4%, respectively.
Other shows in the Top 10 list are GTV’s The Big Picture (5.8%), The Boobay and Tekla Show (5.3%), Kapuso Movie Festival (5.3%), Stories of Hope (4.6%), and GTV’s I Juander (4.5%).
Last weekend, the top 10 programs on weekend was a clean sweep for GMA Network shows.
Considering GMA Network’s wide reach compared to other networks, it is not a surprise that its shows will dominate the leaderboards.
