After 15 years of being GMA Network’s ‘jewel,’ Lovi Poe is now part of ABS-CBN’s roster of artists, as announced by ABS-CBN’s television company, Dreamscape Entertainment September 16.
Today, almost two months after she revealed that they were already in talks of her transfer, the rumor is no more as she has finally become an official Kapamilya.
Earlier on September 9, Dreamscape teased on its social media accounts that a ‘jewel’ has found a new home.
It can be recalled that after her contract expired, Poe flew out of the country and spent some quality time with her boyfriend Monty Blencowe.
In a face-to-face media conference in July 2021 for her film The Other Wife, the actress did not confirm nor denied that she will be switching networks since it was still being ‘discussed.’
“Right now, it’s hard to say; Everything is under negotiations. I’ve just finished my show. We’re still having the conversation.
“It’s a hard thing to say, I think it’s best to keep it private because I want to respect both networks.
“Ako naman po kasi, I’m always open to working with anybody. To grow as an artist, I don’t think you’re supposed to box or keep yourself like just doing the same or working with the same people over and over again.”
To add, the actress wanted to work with Bea Alonzo who just transferred to GMA Network earlier this year.
Poe began her career as a Kapuso in 2006 via the teledrama Bakekang. Since then, she was included in different teleseryes including La Lola (2009), Captain Barbel (2011), Ang Dalawang Mrs. Real (2014), Mulawin vs Ravena (2017), Beautiful Justice (2019), and among others.
In the 2010 Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival, she bagged the award for Best Actress for the film Mayohan (2010). That same year, she was awarded the FAMAS Best Actress for Sagrada Familia‘s role (2009).
Aside from the actress, actor Piolo Pascual will be marking his return to ABS-CBN today.
