Sanya Lopez and Ken Chan, former talents of the late German Moreno, on September 7, believed that the Master Showman is guiding them from above.
Both Kapuso stars will be working in Regal Studio Presents, the telemovie co-produced by Regal Films and GMA Network.
In the virtual press conference for the companies’ collaboration, both felt Kuya Germs’ presence with the blessing that they are receiving.
“Sa blessings na binibigay sa’min, katulad nang napag-usapan namin ni Ken Chan, na parang kahit wala na si Tatay (Kuya Germs), parang bine-bless pa rin kami. Parang si Tatay yung isa sa mga angel namin,” said the actress.
Chan, her co-star, likewise agreed with her, believing that his ‘Tatay’, with all the achievement that they received, is very proud of them.
“Si Kuya Germs, si Tatay, nako, sobrang happy no’n. At alam mo yung pakiramdam na kahit na wala na si Tatay? Parang patuloy pa rin n’ya kaming mina-manage?
“Na kahit na wala na s’ya, ramdam namin ni Sanya na patuloy n’ya kaming inaalagaan. Alam namin ni Sanya na sobrang proud si Tatay sa’min,” he expressed.
Lopez also took the opportunity to reveal how they pay their respect to Kuya Germs: by dedicating all of their projects to him.
“Lahat ng blessings na dumadating sa amin, ay talagang dine-dedicate namin sa kanya. Isa kasi talaga s’ya sa mga unang naniwala sa amin eh.”
Lopez and Chan first worked together in Kuya Germs’ show Walang Tulugan with the Master Showman. Ten years later, they finally got the chance to co-star in Regal Studio Presents: That Thin Line Between.
“Sobrang happy talaga kami, na nagka-partner kami dito pa sa Regal and GMA pa na magkasama. At first time lang nila ulit na mag-collab, at kami pa ang pilot,” the actress exclaimed.
At the same time, the actor recalled how he and Lopez were actually waiting for this opportunity.
“Ako naman, sa loob ng isang dekada, ngayon lang ulit kami nagkatrabaho ni Sanya. Ten years ago, pinag-usapan namin na sana magkatrabaho kami.
“At dumating na yung perfect time and sobrang happy kami ni Sanya na between GMA Network and Regal Films pa ang magiging proyekto naming dalawa, and it’s an honor na maging parte no’n.”
Moreno’s talents have already established themselves as two of the most sought-after actors on Philippine television.
Lopez starred in the hit Kapuso series First Yaya while Chan has already top-billed in a number of soaps, with the latest being Dalawang Ikaw.
