Through a tweet on Monday, November 8, John Lloyd Cruz was introduced as the newest Kapuso by GMA Network.
The Kapuso network hinted at the actor’s comeback to showbiz by posting an artcard that only showed his teeth.
The caption reads, “The grand return of one of the country’s most talented actors will finally happen. Stay tuned to our social media pages for tomorrow’s real-time updates!
“One of the biggest stars of this generation, may bagong ka-partner? Bukas.”

GMA Network formally introduced Cruz as the newest Kapuso on Tuesday morning, November 9.
Previously, it got mentioned that the actor will be doing a sitcom on the Kapuso network.
On Sunday, June 6, Cruz made a TV appearance at the Shopee 6.6 Mid-Year Sale TV Special on GMA Network.
It was also the first time the actor performed on screen since his showbiz hiatus in 2017.
During the TV spectacle, he treated his fans to a rendition of the song Yakap. The TV special gained positive feedback from both viewers and netizens.
His former loveteam partner in ABS-CBN, Bea Alonzo, was also introduced as the newest Kapuso. She signed her contract with GMA Network on Thursday, July 1.
