John Lloyd Cruz received a warm welcome from Kapuso leading ladies as he transferred to GMA Network.
It was on Tuesday, November 9, when he signed his contract under the Kapuso network, which marked his comeback in the showbiz industry.
He was a former contract talent of ABS-CBN.
One of the Kapuso stars, the Primetime Princess Barbie Forteza was happy for Cruz’s new milestone.
Forteza said, “Ang talagang pamantayan ng lahat ng leading man. Idol na idol ko po kayo, I hope to work with you soon, but for now, enjoy GMA and naku, for sure e matutuwa po kayo and mag-e-enjoy kayo dahil sobrang saya lang po talaga dito.
“I hope to meet you soon po and work with you soon.”
Global endorser Gabbi Garcia admitted that Cruz is one of her idols in showbiz.
Garcia stated, “Congratulations po on your newest show. You are one of the actors we really look up to and I respect so much. Congratulations!”
First Lady star Sanya Lopez also revealed that she is a fan of the actor. The actress is also excited about Cruz’s new project as a Kapuso.
Lopez shared, “I’m looking forward to see you as I’m one of your dearest fans. Alam ko maraming matutuwa na viewers mo to see you again on TV. Matagal ka rin nila na-miss and again welcome, Mr. John Lloyd Cruz.”
Meanwhile, Primetime Queen Marian Rivera said that she is open to working with the actor and his former love team partner Bea Alonzo on a project.
“Ako pa ba? Kahit sino sa akin, walang masamang tinapay sa akin. Kung ano ang ibigay ng GMA.
“Kung sino ang i-partner nila at kasama ko, ay naku! I look forward to that,” Rivera said.
Kapuso actress Andrea Torres admitted that it would be an honor for her to work with Cruz.
“Nagulat din po at siyempre natuwa. Kasi he is a brilliant actor at fan din ako niya.
“Sa mga interviews ko ‘yun din laging binabanggit ko na isa siya sa mga gusto kong makatrabaho. So if ever po, malaking honor po for me,” she expressed.
Cruz is set to work on a Mortiz-helmed sitcom titled Happy Together. The cast includes Carmi Martin, Jayson Gainza, Miles Ocampo, and Janus Prado.
