On December 3, Star Pop Label Head Rox Santos described Belle Mariano as a “hands-on artist” on her debut album Daylight.
During the listening party to Mariano’s Daylight Album, Santos said he saw the He’s Into Her star’s passion in creating the album.
“Na-excite ako at nagkaroon ako ng parang eagerness na pagandahin ‘yung album ni Belle, kasi nakita ko ‘yung passion niya talaga sa studio.
“Talagang parang, Wow alam niya ‘yung ginagawa niya, alam niya ‘yung tunog niya at marunong siya mag vocal arrangement, mag backing vocal. So di ba miski sa arrangement may say siya so very hands on siya sa album na ‘to.”
Mariano added that she enjoyed recording her songs for her debut album.
“Nag-enjoy ako the whole time na nagre-recording kami sa studio tapos grabe lang talaga feel na feel ko na nasa in the moment ako na habang nire-record ko at hindi ko ‘yun magagawa kung wala kayo sir Rox.”
Santos revealed the intimate and emotional setup they had when recording the songs in Daylight.
“‘Yung recording namin, very intimate. ‘Yung talagang nakapatay lahat ng ilaw para lang maramdaman natin ‘yung bawat song. Maibigay ni Belle ‘yung tamang emosyon sa bawat kanta.”
Mariano then shared the meaning behind her album Daylight.
“It just best describes our day na parang lagi tayong naglu-look forward sa light ng araw. I feel like Daylight kasi it gives us so much hope.”
Mariano then noted that she dreamed of releasing her music and album.
“I remember before, pinapangarap ko lang na magkaroon ako ng album and now, saktong-sakto, midnight nag-drop ‘yung album ko. Hindi ako makapaniwala. Parang ngayon pa nga lang nagsi-sink in na, ‘Oh My Gosh, may album ako.'”
She then recalled telling her Mom about her album release on December 2.
“I was with my mom on the way home, kasi galing ako ng dubbing yesterday and ayun mom ko ‘yung unang sinabihan ko na, ‘Mom, may album na ko.’ Sobrang natutuwa lang ako.”
Mariano released her debut album Daylight with songs such as Sigurado, With You (by Majarlika), Tanging Dahilan (by Gabriel Tagadtad), Nights of December (by Alexis Tagadtad), Rainy Days (by SAB), For Your Eyes Only (by Trisha Denise), and Rise (by Jayda) to all digital streaming platforms.
Aside from the album release, the Kapamilya star also headlines her first major virtual concert, DAYLIGHT: The Concert, produced by ABS-CBN Events and Star Pop, on January 29, 2022.
