And this December, the young artist is set to wrap up 2021 strong with the release of another heartfelt single called “Dahilan”, out today!
This piano-driven ballad explores the feeling of uncertainty from a seemingly bleak relationship. Something’s changed, but you can’t figure out the very reason why. You keep going round in circles and you’re unsure if you’re still in a healthy relationship, evident in lines “paikot ikot lang tayo / ang lahat lumalabo / ‘di malaman ang dahilan”
Truly, the song did not need to be wordy and tortuous to succeed in capturing the complex emotions from an unforeseen heartache. “Dahilan” by BEY is also accompanied by a newly released official lyric video.
One thing is for sure, the LA-based singer continues to push her limits and prove that she can rub elbows with tenured OPM acts when it comes to her sheer musicality. We can’t wait to see what she has in store for all of us in 2022.
