On January 4, Kapamilya artist Jake Ejercito thanked his fellow Marry Me Marry You cast members for their support during his first heavy drama scene from the series.
During the media conference for the finale media con of Marry Me Marry You, Ejercito shared how easy it was to portray his role thanks to the support of his fellow actors, directors, and staff and crew.
“Hindi naman naging mahirap, kasi supportive naman lahat, from our director, pati I think ‘yung kasama ko dun si Iana [Bernardez]. So it was easy, so I’m very thankful for the support system that we had on the set.”
He then noted that he would still be proud and grateful that Marry Me Marry You was his first teleserye.
“Five years from now, I will be proud of it. I’ll still be grateful na ito ‘yung unang teleserye ko.”
Ejercito also cited the tight-knit family bond they have on and off the set of the Kapamilya romantic comedy.
“We won’t be able to emphasize it enough, talagang naging family kami dito. I think, obvious naman sa scene that we are a really tight-knit group, we really gelled well. ‘Yung samahan talaga, iba ‘yung energy, ‘yung camaraderie. We really had fun on and off-set.”
Marry Me Marry You, starring Paulo Avelino and Janine Gutierrez, was Ejercito’s first-ever ‘major’ role in a teleserye. He joined the Kapamilya Network in July 2021, amid the pandemic.
