On February 12, Viva artist Cara Gonzales revealed she watched porn to study her role in Viva’s erotic trilogy, L.
During the media conference for L (Larawan, Liko, Lipat), Gonzales said she uses porn as a reference to effectively portray intimate scenes that she has no experience in real life.
“Isa sa reason kung bakit nananonood tayo ng porn ay dahil doon tayo nakakakuha ng ideas. Katulad nung sa past movies na nagawa namin, babae sa babae. Wala po kaming alam about doon pero once na napanood po namin ‘yung porn site na ganon, nagkaroon po kami ng idea. Pero para sa work po talaga ‘yun. Para sa benefit ng pelikula.”
She then clarified that she has a different personality than her character on-screen in the upcoming Vivamax trilogy.
“Magkaiba pagdating sa personality, kasi lagi naman po talaga nase-set aside ‘yung personality mo kapag in-character ka sa pelikula so marami rin po talaga pinagkaiba. Isa na don po ‘yung pinagkaiba–‘yung ugali at ‘yung may mga nangyari na ganyan na hindi nangyari sa akin.”
Gonzales then thanked director Roman Perez Jr., whom she worked with before (in other Viva projects).
“Nagpapasalamat po ako kay Direk Roman [Perez] sa malaking tiwala niya po sa akin at hindi rin po niya pinabayaan ako at hindi rin po niya ako binigo sa trust niya. Si Direk Roman po hindi po siya nagbago sa last movie na ginawa namin, ganon pa rin po ‘yung pag-aalaga niya. Pinaka importante doon ay ‘yung respeto sa artista.”
Gonzales also shared her preparation for her role in the series, noting that she studied the script before they taped her episode.
“Simple preparation siguro inaral ko lang po ‘yung character ko para maging maganda sa pelikula ‘yung labas.”
The trilogy was written and produced by award-winning director Jon Red follows the story of Lucas as he tries to overcome loneliness after his girlfriend Lana leaves him. Talented directors spearhead each episode of the erotic trilogy, such as Roman Perez Jr., Topel Lee, and EJ Salcedo.
Gonzales also shared her opinion about men using one-night stands to move on from a heartbreak.
“Naniniwala po ako sa ibang tao na nangyayari po talaga ito, ‘yung ganitong istorya. Sa iba talaga, sina-suggest kapag may problema talaga sa relasyon, I guess ‘yun po ‘yung mga nababalitaan ko, base lang po sa mga napapanood ko sa ibang pelikula.
“Pero kung nasa tama naman po kayo na relasyon, bakit pa po kayo magwa-one night stand.”
Joining Gonzales in the erotic trilogy from Viva titled L (Larawan Liko Lipat) are Vince Rillon, Stephanie Raz, Ayanna Misola, and Cloe Barreto. The series streams on February 27 on Vivamax and will have new episodes every Sunday.
