A muscle brawl between Cardo Dalisay and Samuel is the main attraction of this record-breaking episode.
Fresh from reclaiming the top spot among the most-watched drama programs in the country, FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano pulled off another historic feat, but this time on Kapamilya Online Live.
The six-year-old program has long been in terms of concurrent live viewership on YouTube, but the rising tension on the show has undoubtedly kept more viewers to stay glued on their gadgets and TV screens.
On Thursday, February 3, more than 172,000 concurrent live viewers on Kapamilya Online Live on YouTube during FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano’s airing. That figure erases the record set by the show on the same platform, on November 15, 2021, when the Coco Martin-starrer hit 171,000 concurrent live viewers.
That episode featured Cardo Dalisay (Coco Martin) and Mara (Julia Montes) the first time as they formally met. The February figure does not include live viewers from the Facebook feed of Kapamilya Online Live, where additional tens of thousands also concurrently watched the said episode, which further peaked with 173,244 viewers, before end credits.
Titled Rambol, the record-breaking episode featured the muscle brawl between Cardo and Samuel (Michael Flores), which led to a bigger rumble between the two’s respective groups. Samuel, who instigated the fight, confronted Dalisay for believing the former cop is turning Armando purposely against him and Lukas (Joseph Marco). The intense spoken confrontation inevitably led to a clash of muscles, with Cardo unsurprisingly fending off both Samuel and Lukas and the rest of their gang single-handedly.
However, as Samuel’s defeat was already around the corner, his entire gang joined the chaos, which prompted the rest of Cardo Dalisay’s men to hop on the rumble, too. A feisty and angry Armando halted the fight. Samuel had to promise Armando not to bother Dalisay’s group again. Dalisay, on the other hand, was reprimanded by Tatay Delfin (Jaime Fabregas), who reminded the Task Force Agila again of the favor they are obliged to return to Armando.
With the events on the show projected to get even more intense in the coming episodes, it won’t come as a surprise if this record gets erased by a more impressive one very soon.
