‘Pagod Len-Len’ campaign video backfires at Darryl Yap, Imee Marcos

Sen. Imee Marcos and film director Darryl Yap failed [again] as their latest negative campaign against VP Leni Robredo backfired at the two.

On Thursday, February 10, Yap premiered the Pagod Len-Len vlog on his Vincentiments Facebook page earning the ire of furious working class netizens.

Netizens were united in pushing back Yap and Marcos’s Pagod Len-Len narrative that people who claimed to be working on an average of 18 hours are either lying or stupid.

Celebrities, social media influencers, and ordinary netizens didn’t budge in sharing their own and other people’s experiences working many hours to give their families decent and comfortable lives.

@Arshiethromycin’s tweet chided Imee, saying [it’s obvious] that the Senator and her family doesn’t know how to work their ass off, and all they know is to steal from the nation’s coffers.

Writer G3 San Diego tweeted said she’s offended by Yap and Marcos’s vlog because it trivializes the hardship of Filipino workers, who are working hard to earn a living for their families.

Kaladkaren also shared her sentiments on twitter, saying there are many Filipino who for more than 18 hours citing people working in different news departments.

Former PTV4 news anchor Jules Guiang, meanwhile, took a swipe on Marcos’s campaign platform on Unity saying how can they espouse unity when they cannot even unite with the plight of Filipino workers and mock them instead.

After earning the ire of the netizens, Yap brazenly attacked his critics and wrote that they can bash him all they want; but he maintained that VP Leni will not win the election.

However, after his fiery retort to his critics, Yap deleted an old Facebook post saying he worked without sleep for 29 hours.

But netizens were quick to screengrab the post before he deleted it and quickly circulated it on twitter.

But not only Yap who got a taste of his own medicine.

Blogger @chikkanessave was able to dig old news artcard on Imee boasting that she only sleeps for 4 hours and then spends the rest of the day working.
