Sunshine Cruz admired her co-star Barbie Forteza for doing her scenes with only a single take in the Mano Po Legacy: The Family Fortune.
In a virtual conference on January 28, Cruz shared how amazed she is with Forteza’s acting skills.
“[‘Yung] makasama sina Barbie, napakagaling! Si Barbie Forteza, sobrang perfect siya as ‘yung aking pinagkakatiwalaan dito na secretary. Ang galing, laging ‘take one’ at saka puro monologues ha. I am really impressed sa kanya,” Cruz stated.
Cruz stated that she has been learning a lot with her co-stars in the show.
“I know na ang dami-dami ko pang kailangan i-improve when it comes to acting, when it comes to my craft. Every scene is a learning process for me,” she explained.
As a Kapuso star, Cruz wanted to give her best at everything, especially on the characters she portrays.
“For me, lahat ng binibigay na proyekto, I give my everything. Of course, minamahal ko talaga ang trabaho ko. Gusto ko lang na makilala si Sunshine as someone na laging pinagbubutihan lahat kung ano ‘yung ipinagkakatiwalang proyekto sa kanya,” Cruz said.
Forteza’s career in showbiz started when she portrayed the role of young Jodi Reyes in the 2009 Philippine adaptation of Stairway to Heaven. Since then, she has been part of many TV shows and films on the GMA Network.
In 2016, Forteza bagged the Best Actress Award in Fantasporto, an international film festival that is based in Portugal.
