Former child star Francis Magundayao was asked if he is now ready to take on daring roles Wednesday, March 23.
Magundayao, 22, is part of the upcoming sexy-action original series of Vivamax titled Iskandalo and was the cast member who is not a sexy actor.
In the virtual media conference of the show, he said, “Yung utak ko parang ready na pero yung katawan ko parang hindi, hahaha!”
The actor even jests that given his body’s current state, it would not be enticing for the viewers.
“Parang feeling ko hindi pa matutuwa yung mga makakakita sa akin.”
Magundayao then expressed his admiration to his cast members for being sexy stars.
“But in that context, p’wera biro, kaya ang taas ng respeto ko kina AJ, iyan kina Sean, kasi they’re really trained for it, they’re mentally and physically ready, and pati po sila handa sila.”
He then admitted that it would take him a long time to reach that certain level of readiness but was not closing his door on the possibility that it could be his new career path.
“I think that’ll take time for me pa to reach that kind of artistry. But s’yempre, never say die. Bata pa ako kung iisipin ko talaga. Bata pa career ko. In fact, I think nagsisimula palang ulit ako as an actor in a different stage. So we’ll see.”
Magundayao was known for playing Iking in GMA Network’s Mars Ravelo’s Darna that starred Angel Locsin back in 2015.
In 2017, he won Best Supporting Actor in the 2nd ToFarm Film Festival for his role in Instalado.
Magundayao will be working with sexy stars Cindy Miranda, Ayanna Misola, and AJ Raval in Iskandalo.
The series also includes Sean De Guzman, Jay Manalo, Angela Morena, and Jamilla Obispo. It is directed by Roman Perez Jr.
Iskandalo will be available for streaming starting April 10 on Vivamax.
