On March 28, Kapuso artist and host Maine Mendoza expressed her support to Vice President aspirant Tito Sotto through her Instagram Story.
Maine reposted the campaign ad showing Eat Bulaga host Vic Sotto leading the support for the VP aspirant through her IG story.
Vic highlighted why he’s supporting Tito with his campaign for the 2022 elections.
“Si Tito Sotto ang vice president ko. Hindi porke Sotto ako kundi dahil alam ko ang totoo—ang totoong magagawa niya sa gobyerno at sa pamilyang Pilipino. May karanasan, katapatan, [at] kakayahan.”
Maine then added the hashtags #SottoTooLang and #9SottoforVP, sharing her political candidate with her four million followers.
Ciara Sotto, Tito’s daughter, expressed her gratitude to Maine for supporting her dad.
“Thank you, my love.”
Earlier, Maine’s beau, Arjo Atayde, announced that he didn’t want his drag his girlfriend into his political campaign. Atayde is currently running for Congressman of the First District of Quezon City.
