Talent manager and host Ogie Diaz called out the attention of Kapisanan ng mga Broadkaster ng Pilipinas (KBP) over Net25’s successive biased reports against Vice President Leni Robredo.
In a tweet on Friday, May 27, Diaz asked if KBP would stay silent about Net25’s [obvious] slander against Vice President Leni Robredo’s daughters.
“Quiet lang ang KBP ba dito? #Malamang”

Ogie was sharing the recent viral news clip of Net25’s newscast Mata ng Agila anchored by Alex Santos, where it reported on Robredo sisters as “kulang sa pansin” because of their frequent social media posts about their family’s activities.
In the same news report, Net25 reporter Vin Pascua also compared the Robredo sisters to the sons of Marcos Jr., who, according to the report, are well-raised for their “simple” and “humble” life.
Based on its directory, Net25 is a member of the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas.
Journalist and educator Prof. Danilo Arao also confirmed in a tweet that Net25 is a member of KBP and is subject to KBP’s code of ethical standards.
ADVISORY: KBP officials confirm that SMNI and Net 25 are members of KBP. They should therefore comply with the KBP Broadcast Code, particularly on responsible news reportage and commentary. Want to file a complaint? Please fill out this form (https://t.co/E8OLEnxvzO).

Meanwhile, in his previous tweet about the same news clip, Ogie wondered why they keep on bashing the Robredos when their supported candidate Marcos Jr. has already won.
Net25 is an INC-owned TV Network. The Iglesia ni Cristo endorsed the tandem of Marcos Jr. and Duterte-Carpio in the May 9 elections.
“Nakakalungkot no? Pati sila, di maka-get over ke Leni. Ano pa kaya ang gusto nilang mangyari?”

Recently, Net25 has been the subject of social media criticisms following its successive garbage news reporting.
In its May 12 newscast, Mata ng Agila anchor and former Bb. Pilipinas Intercontinental Emma Tiglao got heavily criticized for calling VP Leni Robredo’s supporters “Pinklawan.”
“Balot ng sama ng loob ngayon ang supporters ng Leni-Kiko tandem o mas kilala sa mga Pinklawan pero saan nga ba sila nagkamali dahil ang inaasahan nilang tagumpay nauwi sa masakit na pagkatalo.”
