Cristy Fermin encouraged actress Julia Montes to admit her pregnancy to the public after the latter was subjected to pregnancy rumors.
To recall, netizens speculated that Julia Montes is pregnant after the actress seemed to have gotten fatter and is always covering her tummy part in pictures.
In Montes’ Instagram post on June 14, she endorsed a shampoo brand, but her tummy part was either covered or not visible in the pictures.
The pregnancy rumors of the actress then became one of the topics of Cristy Fermin, Romel Chika, and Morly Alinio in their YouTube show “Showbiz Now Na”.
Cristy Fermin said that Montes could not attend the late Susan Roces’ funeral as attending the event while pregnant is supposedly not encouraged.
“Yang ingay ng pagdadalangtao na yan noong laman ni Manang Inday [Susan Roces].
“Nagpunta po lahat mga ka-chika ang staff, crew, at mga artista ng ‘Ang Probinsyano’ sa lamay. Nagkaroon ng eulogy, wala si Julia Montes. Hinanap siya. Ang dahilan na lumutang, bawal daw pong magpunta sa burol ang buntis,” said Fermin.
Fermin then said that Montes should just admit her pregnancy to the people.
“At ipagpalagay na na kayo’y tinututukan ng mga Marites, ng mga reporters, namin, wag kayong magagalit. Public figure kayo. Pinasok n’yo itong mundo ng entertainment. Natural lamang na anumang kilos o galaw n’yo, para kayong mga isda sa aquarium, sinusundan kayo. Wag kayong magagalit tutal ang laki laki naman ng benepisyong nakuha nyo sa publiko. Yumaman kayo, gumanda ang buhay nyo, sumikat kayo.
“Aminin na ang dapat aminin, mahirap maging sorry sa darating na araw… Ang punto po atin, aminin kapag totoo. I-deny kung walang katotohanan,” she said.
Pregnancy rumors about Montes started in 2018 after she had an indefinite leave from showbiz. Latest rumors say that the actress is already at her baby number two.
