Fans of reel-and-real couple Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil last Monday, June 6, expressed concern that the two may have followed other celebrities’ split.
Fans reacted after a website posted a blind item claiming that two famous personalities had gone separate ways. First, it was believed to be Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo, but was later on proven wrong.
This time, netizens speculated that the blind item referred to LizQuen, who no longer posts updates on social media of them being together.
A netizen was shocked that 2022 became a year of breakups. Recently, singer Moira Dela Torre and estranged husband Jason Hernandez parted ways. Carla Abellana and Tom Rodriguez also broke up after three months of marriage.

Ogie Diaz, Soberano’s former talent manager, had this tweet, “Kahit nga ako, nalokah din, eh” which further strengthened netizens’ speculation that the blind item was actually referring to LizQuen. However, he did not mention any names or news in particular.

He also tweeted, “Pinakamahirap talaga yung kahit ikaw, napaniwala ng sarili mong kasinungalingan. Tapos kung kelan ka na nagsasabi ng totoo, sinisisi mo na ang sarili mo kumbakit di mo na sila makumbinsing maniwala sa’yo.”

Some fans, however, did not believe that the blind item was meant to hint at the separation of Soberano and Gil.

Later on, Diaz clarified that his tweets didn’t mean for LizQuen but a politician.
“Easy lang kayo. Wala pong kinalaman sa posts ko ang LizQuen. Meron lang po akong pinagtatakhan tungkol sa isang kandidato.”

LizQuen earlier traveled abroad separately for different reasons.
Soberano is currently in the United States with her new handler, actor-singer James Reid. Her decision to change managers was to pursue a career in the US.
Gil, on the other hand, had a vacation in Spain together with his family.
The couple has yet to release a statement regarding the breakup rumors.
