The comedian-host teased the viewers about the eventual return of the live-studio audience of the show very soon.
Vice Ganda delighted fans and viewers of the noon time show, It’s Showtime, after he hinted that the eventual return of the show’s live-studio audience may be just around the corner.
A limited number of studio audiences were allowed to witness his birthday celebration on the show on April 2. That episode remains the highest-rated episode of the noon-time since ABS-CBN shut down in 2020.
During the introduction to JM de Guzman, one of It’s Showtime SexyBabe judges for the June 6 episode of the show, Vice Ganda shared that his team has been working hard to convince the big bosses to finally allow the return of live audiences to the show.
“Sabi ng mga madlang pipol “woaaah”, di mo lang naririnig kasi nasa bahay sila. Wala sila ngayon sa studio, mga two years na…pero magagabalik na sila. Ginagawan na namin ng paraan (The madlang people are screaming “woahhh!”. You just can’t hear them because they’re watching from their homes. But they might come back soon to the studio…we’ve been working hard to make that happen)” Vice Ganda promised, as he welcomed JM de Guzman to the show.
“Nakikipag-away na ‘ho ako. ‘Wag po kayong mag-alala (I’ve been arguing with the bosses, don’t worry),” he added.
His co-hosts Ogie Alcasid, Jhong Hilario, and Vhong Navarro, meanwhile noticed how members of the show, have been slowly coming back.
“Ang daming nagbabalik ‘no? (It’s amazing that a lot of people are coming back),” shared Ogie Alcasid.
“Yes, andaming nagbabalik. My God! Sino kaya ang aalis? (Yes, people are slowly coming back. Bus who’s gonna leave?),” Vice Ganda teased, albeit jokingly.
In an interview, the comedian-host expressed how much he already contends with the current size of the show, and that he would rather not the show accept more returnees or additional members, in the expense of losing one or more of its current hosts. Jhong Hilario and Anne Curtis notably made their respective comebacks to the show on June 4 and May 30, respectively.
