On June 30, Toni Gonzaga had no comment on the criticisms she received after singing the national anthem at the inauguration of the 17th President Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Jr.
The former Pinoy Big Brother host remained mum despite some netizens chiding her version of the Philippine National Anthem.
Some expressed their dismay on Twitter, noting that the singer-host had flat notes during her rendition of Lupang Hinirang.

Earlier, Gonzaga expressed gratitude to President Marcos Jr. for choosing her to sing the national anthem during his inauguration.
“I am truly honored and humbled to be chosen by our new President to sing the national anthem in a very historic event for our country.
“This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that I will forever be grateful for.”
Gonzaga became one of the celebrity supporters of President Marcos during the 2022 elections campaign period, wherein she hosted most of Marcos’s campaign rallies.
