During a virtual media conference on Wednesday, September 14, Advanced Media Broadcasting System (AMBS) president Ms. Maribeth Tolentino remained mum on Toni Gonzaga’s rumored P500 million talent fee.
Gonzaga, along with Willie Revillame are the faces identified with ALLTV. The two celebrities host their programs–Toni Talks (5 PM) and Wowowin (7 PM), respectively.
Tolentino neither confirmed nor denied that Gonzaga has more than P500 million talent fee.
“Ay, naku! Alam mo, baka maipit naman si Toni dyan sa balitang ‘yan, di ba?” Tolentino laughingly remarked.
Tolentino said Gonzaga should be the one to reveal her professional fee as it is a confidential matter.
“Baka siya lang ang dapat mag-confirm nun, hindi ako. Kasi, very confidential. Especially earnings niya yun, e. Marami siyang earnings pa, galing sa iba.
“Puwedeng meron sa advertiser, di ba? Yung kanyang mga pino-promote. Isang part lang kami ng kita ni Toni.
“Hindi ko ‘yan sasagutin, kasi very confidential ‘yan… Hindi naman ganun kalaki yun. Sino ba ang nagbalita niyan? Nakita ba niya ang kontrata, di ba?” she said.
Despite the online criticisms she received, Tolentino has faith in Gonzaga’s skills as a host and actress.
“Well, si Toni, napaka-talented, ha? Ang galing niyang host, ang galing niyang aktres,” Tolentino stressed.
“E, yun lang naman ang kailangan natin para rito sa produkto na ‘to. Ang produkto natin, star, e.
“Hindi ka naman puwedeng mag-offer sa ating viewers ng hindi magaling. So, yung mga basher, hindi namin iniinda yun.
“Kasi, kailangan lang naman natin, yung talent, magaling, e. Di ba?”
ALLTV is reported to start its broadcast in October this year.
Gonzaga starred in several series and movies in ABS-CBN.
She is the former lead host of the longest-running reality show Pinoy Big Brother. On February 9, 2022, Gonzaga stepped down as the lead host of the said show after 16 years, and eventually ABS-CBN) passed on her duties to Bianca Gonzalez
In September 2022, Gonzaga, together with her husband Paul Soriano transferred to ALLTV.
