Kapamilya star Janella Salvador revealed how Maja Salvador supported her when auditioning for the role of Valentina in Mars Ravelo’s Darna on September 5.
In an episode of Hotspot 2022, Janella confirmed that Maja was one of the first to know about her audition for the iconic kontrabida, Valentina.
“From the start pa lang, actually, audition ko pa lang nung nag-read ako for the role, siya agad tinawagan ko. Siya ‘yung unang naka-alam na I’m gonna read for Valentina.”
She then recounted how her Killer Bride co-star motivated her with her audition.
“Sobrang supportive siya tapos after ng audition nag-send pa ako ng picture …kasi kinakabahan ako tapos ‘yung push, push, push lang siya the whole time.
“She’s one of the most caring people I know.”
Janella and Maja worked in the Kapamilya drama horror-action-thriller The Killer Bride in 2019.
Janella admitted that she missed Maja, revealing their plans of seeing each other soon.
“Nami-miss ko na siya. Ang tagal na naming hindi nagkikita pero sometimes nagkakamustahan pa rin kami but we plan to see each other soon.”
Earlier, Janella trended on social media with her Valentina reveal in the Kapamilya action-fantasy series, Darna. Fans of the Kapamilya series praised Janella for her terrifying performance as the snake-haired kontrabida.
