At the media conference for the Season Finale of ‘Lolong’ with the press, including LionhearTV, on September 27, Kapuso Christopher de Leon described Ruru Madrid as a dedicated actor.
De Leon highlighted Madrid’s passion for his role in the Kapuso action-adventure series.
“Si Ruru is a very dedicated actor. One important thing is his passion, and ‘yun na nga ang totoo niyan I get inspiration from actors like Ruru no. How /dedicated/ they are. And then very passionate about their work. They’re just/ like, parang ano eh, I get inspired with what the young guys do.
“Like si Ruru is like pagkailangan ng–kasi may mga break kami no, but if kailangan ng after every shooting, taping day, I would hear him work out, I would see him really study his materials, get into the role.”
He then voiced how much he wants Madrid and the other young stars not to not complacent with their careers.
“Even after a while, kasi you’ve been in the industry for quite a long time, you get complacent, ‘yun ang ayaw kong mangyari sa akin eh. So /that’s why/ my inspiration is like the Rurus, the Ruru Madrid, and the other, sila Paul. I really like– they really get into it. I mean talagang pumapasok sila sa role.”
Admittedly, De Leon said he felt inspired seeing the young cast of ‘Lolong.’
“Pag nag-roll na ‘yung camera, you’d see Lolong already, eh. You get inspired by that, and I get thrilled. Actually, I get thrilled pag kunyari Ruru is there, si Donna is there, sila Rochelle is there, like Wow, kahit na you’ve been in the business for so long, you have to be at par with their energy. Their passion and all.”
Kapuso action-adventure teleserye, ‘Lolong,’ stars Ruru Madrid, Arra San Agustin, Shaira Diaz, and Paul Salas.
The GMA Telebabad teleserye includes premiere Kapuso stars such as Christopher de Leon, Jean Garcia, Bembol Roco, Malou de Guzman, Rochelle Pangilinan, Marco Alcaraz, Mikoy Morales, Maui Taylor, Ian De Leon, and Alma Concepcion.
