Kapamilya star Jake Ejercito and other Kakampink celebrities shared no regrets in supporting the campaign of former vice president Leni Robredo and former Sen. Kiko Pangilinan one year after the two running mates announced their candidacies.

On Friday, October 7, 2022, Twitterverse was flooded with tweets commemorating the start of the Pink Movement. The hashtag #KulayRosasAngBukas took the top trending topics again as people remember their Kakampink experience.

October 7, 2021, is the exact date when Robredo announced her decision to run for the presidency.

“Buong buo ang loob ko ngayon – kailangan nating palayain ang sarili mula sa kasalukuyang sitwasyon. Lalaban ako. Lalaban tayo. Inihahain ko ang aking sarili bilang kandidato sa pagkapangulo sa halalan ng 2022,” said Robredo in her declaration speech.

Her decision sparked the Pink Movement which was lauded not only in the country but in other parts of the world for its organic people’s campaign.

Pure-blooded Kakampink Jake Ejercito was one of the Kakampink celebrities who took to Twitter and celebrate the first anniversary of the Pink Movement.

Ejercito retweeted his October 7, 2021-Twitter photo wearing a pink suit with the caption: “Lalaban ako. Lalaban tayo.”

Inah Evans AKA Ate Dick who is one of the regular pink rally hosts also remembered October 7 as the day the pink movement was born. According to him it is one of the things that he will always be proud of.

“A year ago, a movement was born. One of the things I’ll awlays be proud of. Tumindig ako para sa tama. Para sa bayan. Para sa pag asa. Para sa kinabukasan. Hindi na muling pipikit. Tuloy lang. #KulayRosasAngBukas.”
