Still in the early stage of their relationship, Tino and Chan run away from the city and their family troubles to live together in the scenic beach town of La Union. Their young relationship becomes complicated when they meet Joaquin, a mysterious man who presents himself to be their plus one in bed.
Tino and Chan barely know each other when they decide to take their young relationship to the next stage. They leave everything behind to go to the scenic beach town of La Union. Tino does not want to deal with his moms’ sudden reconciliation while Chan wants to run away from his adoptive parents’ disappointment over his academic failure. This is the much needed fresh start for the two.
They arrive in La Union with opposing conditions: Chan wants to take things to the next level; he even thinks that the romantic vibe will make them fall in love harder, while Tino just wants to take things easy, have fun, and forget his worries. Everything seems to be going according to plan until their first night to have sex—they discover that they are not sexually compatible.
Tino suggests that they find another guy to be their bottom. Chan initially rejects the idea, but later gives in and agrees, as long as they follow a rule: they can only hook up with other guys as a couple and they will never do it on their own.
Tino and Chan soon find a connection with Joaquin, a potter and a surfer in his 30s who also gave up his city life to settle in La Union. Joaquin is a versatile guy whose laidback personality seems to appeal to both Tino and Chan. He is also more than willing to become the couple’s occasional third party.
In the company of Joaquin, Chan and Tino seem to forget the reason they went to La Union. Chan wants to learn pottery, and Joaquin is quick to offer him some lessons. Meanwhile, Tino is fascinated with Joaquin’s aromantic lifestyle—something that Tino wants for himself before meeting Chan.
As days go by, Tino and Chan become more adventurousin their encounters with Joaquin. Chan soon gets tired of the setup, but chooses to stick with it for the sake of Tino, who is being haunted by his personal woes.
When Chan begins to question Tino’s commitment totheir relationship, a heated argument ensues. The situation becomes even more complicated when one of them hooks up with Joaquin without the other partner’s knowledge.
As the future of their relationship becomes uncertain, Tino and Chan will also learn that love and commitment can be life’s most difficult challenge.
