The Star Circle Quest Kids season 2 grand winner made a live guesting on the Magandang Buhay studio on October 28, the day Pascual had an appearance on the show.
Former Kapamilya child star Quintin Alianza surprised Magandang Buhay host Regine Velasquez-Alcasid and Kapamilya leading man Piolo Pascual when he visited the show’s live taping last week.
The three worked together in 2007 for the Star Cinema film Paano Kita Iibigin. Alianza was six years old then, playing as Velasquez-Alcasid’s son.
He is now an attractive, all-grown, 21-year-old guy.
During the show, Alianza shared details about his showbiz career and his current life.
“Masaya po and excited. Parang na-rereminisce ko po lahat ng nangyayari before. Second film ko po ‘yun eh. I was six years old.
“(I am very happy and excited. It makes me reminisce the things that happened before. I remember I was 6 years old, then),” he said, recalling the movie he did with Pascual and Velasquez-Alcasid.
“College po ako ngayon, second year. Communication Arts.
“(I am now in my second year in college. I am pursuing Communication Arts),” he shared, to Velasquez-Alcasid’s delight.
He also shared his recollection of the working relationship he had with the two senior actors, noting how they both helped him perform his job well.
“Sa kanila pong dalawa, parang they were so nice to be with po. Si Kuya Piolo tinutuluingan niya po akong I-deliver mga lines ko.
“(I remember how nice they were to be with. Piolo even helped me out in how to deliver my lines),” he recalled.
Pascual, meanwhile, vividly remembered, how fun to be with Alianza was in the set. “Masarap siya kasama kasi kahit hindi niya alam ang nangyayari sa mundo niya, kahit anong ipagawa mo sa kanya gagawin niya, idedeliver lang niya. So nakakatuwa kasi ano lang, very light.
“(He’s really cool being around. Even though he didn’t have an idea what was happening around, he did everything he was asked to do and deliver. So it was fun to be with him),” Pascual shared.
For her part, the Songbird recalled how she built a mother-son relationship with Quintin, given that she didn’t have a child then. She shared she was able to do so by playing along with Alianza and sharing fun times with him.
As he shared on the show, Alianza appeared on various Kapamilya projects before taking an indefinite hiatus. He was part of the TV series Kokey (2007), Lovespell (2006), Nasaan Ka Maruja (2009), and Mana Po (2011), among others. His last TV appearance was in the fantasy drama, My Little Juan in 2013.
