Andrea Torres made the rounds on social media after netizens praised her performance in the drama fantasy series Maria Clara at Ibarra. Even fellow celebrities like Ogie Diaz, Rita Avila, and Shaira Diaz were impressed.
Torres plays Sisa in the series; she’s Crispin and Basilio’s mother.
The story of Maria Clara at Ibarra–is based on Jose Rizal’s novels Noli Me Tángere and El Filibusterismo. Sisa got insane after her children got murdered.
Torres posted a photo of herself as Sisa on Instagram on November 2, with the caption calling out to her sons.
“Basilio.. Crispin.. Mga anak ko! Nasaan na kayo?”
In the comment section, Rita Avila and Shaira Diaz lauded Torres for her acting skills and congratulated the Kapuso star.
“Congratulations anak at sa lahat – as in lahat ng bumubuo ng palabas nyo. Winner,” said Avila.
Diaz left three clapping emojis in the comments.
On Twitter, Ogie Diaz also lauded Torres’s performance as Sisa.

On November 2, Torres thanked the people who loved her performance as Sisa.
