Binibining Pilipinas 2022 first runner-up Herlene Budol is GMA Network’s latest leading lady as she will star in the Kapuso series Magandang Dilag.
The Network shared the official teaser of the series on Instagram on December 24.

Budol will star alongside Benjamin Alves, Maxine Media, Bianca Manalo, Angela Alarcon, Sandy Andolong, Al Tantay, and Chanda Romero. It will air this coming February 2023.
The project was first teased in September 2022 when it was reported that the series already had its script reading and the selection of cast members.
On October 11 via 24 Oras, Budol shared her excitement at working with Kapuso stars such as Christopher De Leon, Sandy Andolong, and Chanda Romero.
“Parang dati pinapanood ko lang sila, ngayon kasama ko na. Parang ‘di pa pumapasok sa utak ko na andito na ‘ko, nakikita ko sila, nakakasama ko na sila, nakakausap ko na,” she said.
Budol got discovered first in Wowowin. She became a regular host, and it opened opportunities for her.
She appeared in an episode of Magpakailanman in 2019 and the Kapuso series Madrasta.
She also tried her luck in the pageant world as she joined Binibining Pilipinas 2022 as a contender, bagging seven special awards and ending up as 1st runner-up. She then became the Philippines’ representative for Miss Planet International 2022 but eventually withdrew from the competition.
