Kapuso’s primetime historical-fantasy series ‘Maria Clara at Ibarra’ remains the number one entertainment program in the country.
Based on the most recent rating reports from the Nielsen NUTAM People Survey, the Barbie Forteza-led series continues to be the number one entertainment program on Philippine TV.
On Monday, December 5, MCAI scored 13.5%, ranking second overall and number one in the entertainment category.
On Tuesday, December 6, the Kapuso series again dominated all entertainment programs with its 13.7% rating beating rival program Darna by more than double at 6.4%.
On the next day, Wednesday, December 7, MCAI dropped slightly to 13.5% but was still undisputed in the number one rank for entertainment programs.
And on Thursday, December 8, MCAI again moved upward, beating Darna by 13.6% vs. 6.5%.
Previously, Kapuso writer Suzette Doctolero appealed to the viewers to watch the series on Television instead of streaming it on digital platforms.
Doctolero’s plea came from MCAI’s downward rating trend in November, where it registered its lowest at 12.3%. However, with these latest rating numbers, it seemed that Kapuso’s historical-fantasy series was already back on track.
