On December 8, Senator Imee Marcos hinted at the production of Maid in Malacañang‘s sequel.
At the media conference for Pinakbest book launch, which LionhearTV covered, Marcos confirmed that their team is already in production for the Viva Films movie.
“Hala, we’re already doing part two of the Maid in the Malacañang. Talk about doing movies.”
In November 2022, Sen. Marcos announced the sequel to Maid in Malacañang during their Europe tour for the film.
“There will definitely be a sequel but [it’s] still being written by director Darryl Yap. Thank you for organizing the screening of ‘Maid in Malacañang’– you even showed it in Utrecht.”
As for her newest cookbook, Sen. Marcos addressed the possibility of hosting a cooking show.
“Ayun na nga maraming nagtatanong ng cooking show na-stress ata ako. Nakaka-tense eh kasi ang sabi ni Reggie kailangan daw ituro sa YouTube one by one ‘yung mga recipes. I’m sure we’re going to have to do that. We’re going to have a YouTube series.
“Pero kung cooking show, nahiya ako eh, kasi baka batuhin ako ng mga totoong Chef katulad ni Nancy, wala akong K.”
As for PinakBest, Sen. Imee Marcos‘s cookbook the Marcos family’s lives through food. It is currently available for purchase.
The book, written by Sen. Marcos herself with notes from Chef Reggie Aspiras, became available on December 14, with a signing event in San Juan City for those who pre-ordered the book.
