On December 16, Kapamilya actress Shaina Magdayao admitted feeling surprised when she received the 25-year Loyalty Award from Star Magic.
At the media conference for Organized Chicas newest line, Magdayao considered her Kapamilya award as a birthday surprise.
“Sobrang suprise siya. Also I consider it as a birthday pahabol surprise. That’s why I’m very grateful for the love na natanggap ko that night. But really mostly, for the love that I’ve been getting since I started with Star Magic. Hindi ko nga– alam ko na matagal na ako sa industriya, pero hindi ko alam na 25 years na. Tinigilan ko na rin naman ‘yung pagka-calculate.”
She then cited how her award humbled her as a Kapamilya actress.
“But actually, it’s really, very, humbling na sine-celebrate ng mga taong nakapaligid sayo ‘yung napakalaking milestone na ‘to.
“Different kind of fulfillment for me– I’m [really, very] grateful for this year and surprised. Tapos it happened pa sa birth month ko.”
She also highlighted how her award symbolized the years of support she received from the people around her.
“I guess ibig sabihin 25 years na sinuportahan ako ng mga tao and tinulungan ako ng mga tao. Like I said, hindi naman ako tatagal ng 25 years if it weren’t for the people around me, and isa ‘yun ‘yung Star Magic. Kayo na nag-aalaga sa amin.
“Anim kami that were awarded that night, but really ‘yung mga taong you know, na nag-aalaga sa anim na ‘yun, na binigyan ng award that nigh, ‘yun actually ‘yung dapat pasalamatan.”
As for Magdayao, she began her career with ABS-CBN in 1996 with Kaybol, Ang Bagong TV (1996). She then starred in various Kapamilya projects such as Rendezvous (2020), Dukot (2016), and A Change of Heart (2000).
As for Organized Chicas, Magdayao and her business partner Niki Medina launched their more adventurous and fun collection for 2022, the Colore Collection, which included locally sourced and made bags in tones of white, black, and army green.
