TV host-vlogger Alex Gonzaga made a sarcastic clap back against a basher alluding to her Mommy Pinty’s alleged buying spree of Toni Gonzaga’s concert tickets.

Following Toni Gonzaga’s 20th anniversary concert at the Araneta Coliseum on Friday, January 20, Alex Gonzaga posted a Tiktok video of the concert with the caption “Sold out.”

The video, which was posted on Saturday, January 21, elicited a range of reactions from internet users.

One netizen commented, “Sold out ni mami pinty yung 500 tickets (laughing emoji) congrats mami pinty napuno mo ang Araneta (laughing emoji).”

The comment caught the younger Gonzaga’s attention, forcing her to reply sarcastically.

“Hindi lang ho 500 ang upuan sa Aranera para masabi sold out. Kung nakapunta na kayo dun alam niyo na dapat yan hehe,” she wrote.

Prior to the concert, rumors circulated online that the Gonzaga sisters’ mother, Mommy Pinty, had bought 500 tickets to help boost ticket sales.

Regee Bonoan, in his Bandera article on January 8, confirmed that a friend working at the Araneta Coliseum had confided to him that Mommy Pinty bought 500 tickets to help boost the dismal ticket sales.

On his vlog, Showbiz Update, on January 10, comedian and talent manager Ogie Diaz also talked about the rumor.

He however defended Mommy Pinty, saying there’s nothing wrong with a mother supporting her child, especially since Toni Gonzaga is celebrating her 20th year in show business.  Diaz commented, “500 tickets? Baka naman ano, ako din naman kung sa akin mangyari ‘yun, na anak ko may concert, susuportahan ko din. Parang popularity contest ‘yan sa school ‘di ba. Susuportahan mo ‘yung anak mo.”
