On January 3, social media influencer Mary Joy Santiago spoke up about the breakup between McCoy de Leon and Elisse Joson.
Earlier, netizens started posting their opinions regarding the breakup, accusing the actor as a cheater for leaving Joson for Santiago.
The online accusations began with a set of Facebook conversations uploaded by a netizen with Santiago, revealing details about the nature of her relationship with De Leon.

She clarified that the couple had already split before they started speaking to each other.
In her response, Santiago urged people to stop assuming things about her and instead ask her what happened.
As for De Leon, he edited his post about his daughter, expressing how much he loves his daughter and his wishes as a father.
Additionally, he apologized for what happened.
De Leon and Joson first got together in 2016 after their stint on Pinoy Big Brother 7. However, the two broke up in 2018.
Then in August 2020, netizens speculated that Joson and De Leon got back together after seeing the two together in their Instagram posts.
The speculations solidified after De Leon’s birthday gift to Joson in January 2021.
In June 2021, the duo confirmed that they had rekindled their romantic relationship.
After that, in November 2021, Joson and De Leon shared with the public their baby girl, Felize.
However, in December 2022, netizens noticed De Leon’s cryptic posts, noting that his relationship with Joson might be on the rocks.
