The controversial content creator-tuned- filmmaker Darryl Yap made a fiery rant against his home studio, VIVA Films.
In a Facebook post on Friday, February 10, the director vented out against VIVA for allegedly wanting to cut off some scenes in his latest movie, Martyr or Murderer (MoM).
“I am about to give up.
He also stressed that he doesn’t want any director’s cut for his movie, but that the whole film should be released on March 1.
“I DON’T WANT A DIRECTOR’S CUT. MARCH 1 must contain the ONLY CUT.”
Meanwhile, in his most recent post, Yap apologized to VIVA for his social media outburst.
In a Facebook post on Sunday, February 13, the MoM director admitted getting carried away by his emotions, resulting in his social media rant.
He added that he already understood VIVA’s concerns for him and the film, which he earlier misinterpreted.
The director then shared that they’ve already reached a compromise to release the film in full in cinemas here and abroad but will show the edited version once it is released on streaming platforms.
Martyr or Murderer will premiere on March 1 in cinemas nationwide.
