Juan “Johnny” Ledesma Manahan also known as Mr. M, is a Filipino film and television director, talent manager, and screenwriter.
He expressed his appreciation to Julie Anne San Jose, Barbie Forteza, Sanya Lopez, and other Sparkle artists.
On February 12, during an interview with Alden Richards, Manahan applauded some of Sparkle artists’ looks and talent.
“I love Julie, so wala akong mapintas. Gusto ko ‘yung beauty niya, talagang Pilipina,” he said to San Jose.
“I love Sanya, ‘yung pagka-Filipina beauty niya,” he said of Lopez’s Pinay beauty.
“Barbie is a revelation for me. Dati akala ko ganoon lang siya, sayaw sayaw. Pero noong nagsimula ‘yung Maria Clara [at Ibarra], what a revelation. Ang galing na artista. I’m falling in love with her, the way she looks, sakto siya doon sa period e. Ang galing, parang Maricel Soriano,” he revealed of Forteza’s acting.
“Khalil has to have a rougher exterior, masyadong baby face e. Some people don’t take him seriously because of his baby face but he’s a very good actor, e,” he wished for Khalil Ramos to have a rougher appearance.
Manahan also left an opinion to Ruru Madrid and Bianca Umali. He said, “Ruru just needs some, a little control, pero makukuha niya ‘yan. With Bianca, it’s hard to criticize her wala ka nang kailangan e. You don’t need e, eto na ‘yan e.”
“Matagal na kami magkakilala ni Heart. Malalaman mo rin one day what you want, and you’ll get it. I think she has to just concentrate on her work and just put the other things aside for a while,” he advised Heart Evangelista to focus on her work.
Manahan also has advice for Ysabel Ortega and Miguel Tanfelix. He shared, “A young star. ‘pag ganyan ang artista, you just let her go, let her play and she’ll find out for herself. Miguel I think will make a very fine actor. As he grows, as he works, magiging Alden Richards ‘yan.”
“He seems like a very controlled artist. Ken is very charming and looks like a very nice guy. I hope I get to know him better,” Manahan hoped to know more about Ken Chan.
