Conor Maynard rose to fame a decade ago after being discovered on YouTube. He uploaded videos of himself singing in 2008, and eventually caught the attention of R&B star Ne-Yo when the singer saw Conor’s cover of “Beautiful Monster”. He then released his own singles like “Can’t Say No” and “Turn Around” with Ne-Yo. Maynard also recorded song covers such as Adele’s “Hello”, “Someone You Loved” by Lewis Capaldi, and Whitney Houston’s smash hit “Dance with Some- body”.
He released his debut album “Contrast” in 2012, followed by “Covers” in 2016, and has collaborated with the likes of Wiley, Ty Dolla $ign, Shaggy, Snoop Dogg, Rita Ora, and his mentor Ne-Yo. In 2021, his global audience started to grow at an extraordinary pace. Currently, he has over 300 million streams across Spotify and Apple Music, without major player backing. His Youtube channel has hit 13.3 million subscribers and 2.6 billion views. He has almost 9 million followers on Facebook, and he’s also one of the most followed TikTok music accounts in the UK.
