Aljur Abrenica has admitted to wanting to meet his estranged wife, Kylie Padilla’s new boyfriend.
In December 2022, Kylie suggested that she had found a romantic partner by sharing a video on her Instagram account.
The video featured Kylie Padilla and an unidentified man spending time together in Thailand.
During the video, Padilla and the man, who is speculated to be a tattoo artist, were seen holding hands.
Aljur Abrenica expressed his concern during an interview with PEP Ph about not knowing the man in Kylie Padilla’s life.
As a father to their two children, Axl and Alas, the actor emphasized that it bothers him not to have any contact with Kylie’s current partner.
“Never naman kaming maghihiwalay dahil may mga anak kami,” he said.
The actor stated that he and Kylie have established an effective co-parenting arrangement and regularly communicate about raising and caring for their two children.
Abrenica expressed, “Ito ang gusto ko sa samahan namin. For example, mayroong scenario na di ko alam kung ano ang gagawin ko sa mga bata, siya ang tatawagan ko. Siya rin kapag may scenario, may nangyari sa mga bata, ako ang tatawagan niya. There’s always a father-and-mother thing.”
Several members of the entertainment press had the opportunity to chat with the actor during the Gutierrez Celebrity and Media Production launch. This was held at SM North EDSA Skydome last February 28.
“Saka never naman kaming maghihiwalay dahil may mga anak kami. That’s the reality. Magkikita at magkikita kami lagi. Nag-uusap kami para sa mga bata,” he revealed.
Abrenica said Padilla had been a positive mother so far. He reiterated, “Magaling na nanay yun, maalaga na nanay, responsableng nanay. Kylie is very attached to her emotions when it comes to the kids.”
Abrenica replied, “Ako, lagi kaming outdoor, adventure. When it comes to emotions, siya nagpupuno noon.”
If given the opportunity, Abrenica expressed his desire to personally meet and talk with Padilla’s rumored boyfriend.
The actor emphasized, “On that part, gusto ko talagang malaman kung sino siya, what he’s doing sa personal na buhay niya. Siyempre, hindi naman puwede na makasama siya na di ko siya kilala. Hindi ko alam kung ano ang trabaho niya, kung ano ang pinaggagawa niya. Hindi ko siya kilala. On that part, I’m trying na magtanong kung sino yan. Hindi ko siya kilala, yun ang wino-worry ko ngayon.”
“Basta sa akin, hindi siya okay, sa totoo lang. On my part, kilala nila si AJ. Ito, di ko siya kilala. Sasabihin ko na, hindi ako okay dun,” he said, referring to his girlfriend AJ Raval.
Padilla’s boyfriend has been rumored to be a tattoo artist named Jinno John Simon, who is speculated to have caused the rift between Abrenica and Padilla.
Abrenica previously pleaded for Padilla to tell the truth about their breakup. He even begged Padilla to reveal who cheated first in their relationship; to tell the public why he eventually gave up.
Comedian Ogie Diaz also commented on the issue in one of his YouTube videos.
“Kung hindi si JM de Guzman, ang itinuturo namang third party sa side ni Kylie ‘yung pinag papatattoo-han niyang may-ari ng Vimana Tattoo [na] si Jinno John Simon na nasangkot sa isang issue ng pambubugbog [sa] Grab driver noong 2018,” said Diaz.
However, Padilla took to Instagram to subtly deny Abrenica’s claim.
