On March 17, Kapuso star Radson Flores said he aimed to be a “leading man” in future projects.
At the media conference for GMA Regional TV for ‘Voltes V: Legacy,’ Flores noted that one of his goals was to become a lead actor in future film productions.
He shared, “Ah, wala pa, pero ine-aim ko ‘yung status na ganon kasi siyempre, hindi ko naman po masasabi na ‘yun ‘yung magiging pinaka-successful pero I’m sure na stepping stone po siya.”
He then stated his realization while portraying Mark Gordon in the upcoming GMA Network sci-fi series.
“Siguro ‘yung take away ko as Mark Gordon, siguro ‘yung pag-believe sa mga taong naka-surround sayo, na hindi ka nag-iisa and maraming nagmamahal sayo lagi. Every time na nada-down ka, ganon, or nade-depress ka.”
Flores then acknowledged the challenge they were facing in impressing their audience.
“Challenge talaga ‘yung ma-impress namin ‘yung audience ng Voltes V. Kasi nga, malaking project ‘to, and ang tagal din nung time na prinepare namin para ma-deliver namin ‘yung good quality talaga sa mga Kapuso fans.”
He also voiced how the cast handles netizens’ criticisms about their series.
“Kami po kasi may tiwala kay Direk, so for us po, ang kailangan lang po naming gawin for the show is makikinig lang po kami kung ano po ‘yung kailangan gawin, kasi si Direk po ay sobrang fan po talaga siya ng Voltes V. And ‘yung generation niya po katulad po ng sinasabi ninyo kanina, so sure na sure po kami na alam na alam niya ‘yung ginagawa niya.”

The Kapuso sci-fi adaptation will be airing soon on GMA Network.
