Social media got abuzz last night, May 29, over what could be the most action-packed episode of the top-rating Kapamilya primetime series, FPJ’s Batang Quiapo, since it went on air last February 13. Not only did such a gripping episode deliver fresh all-time high numbers on Kapamilya Online Live—drawing nearly 400,000 live concurrent viewers—it also sent multiple topics related to the show to the top of trending topics on Twitter Philippines.
Among the topics to trend on Twitter include the official hashtag of the episode, #FPJBQTutukan, and the popular characters on the show, like Tanggol, Rigor, and Greg.
Seasoned actor John Estrada plays Rigor.
During the episode, the team led by Bagatsing’s character, Greg, hunted down Tanggol. The move was to make sure the drug lord, Ramon (played by Christopher de Leon), never met his long-lost son, Tanggol. A bloody exchange of gunshots and punches ensured that there would be casualties at the end, of whom unfortunately is Greg.
It remains to be seen in the succeeding episode, however, if Bagatsing’s character, has bidden adieu to the show. Bagatsing has been earning praise for exemplarily playing the villainy role.
