Filipina actress Andrea Brillantes recently faced criticism and comparisons to the horror film ‘Hereditary’ after posting a photo on her Instagram account.

In the photo, her head sticks out of a moving vehicle. Netizens’ reactions varied, with many expressing concern and disappointment regarding her actions, deeming it unsafe and setting a negative example for her followers.

On June 15, Brillantes shared the photo captioned, “Late nights in the middle of June,” inviting reactions from her online audience. However, instead of garnering inspiration or admiration, the post attracted comments emphasizing the potential dangers associated with her behavior. Comments also highlighted how it could be perceived as a poor example.

Netizens voiced their concerns, with one user cautioning, “Ingat ka delikado yan”.

Another user pointed out the potential for others, particularly young fans, to imitate such behavior unknowingly, writing, “Maganda yung mga kuha pero medyo BAD EXAMPLE yan kasi baka may mag attempt gumaya, which I think meron at meron gagaya lalo na mga bagets na fans not knowing the DANGERS na ilabas ang ulo at smartphone sa bintana”.

Curiously, some netizens referenced the movie ‘Hereditary’ in their comments, alluding to a scene involving similar risky behavior.

Tweets questioning whether Brillantes had watched the film began circulating, with one tweet exclaiming, “BAKLA KA NAPANOOD MO NA BA ANG HEREDITARY???”.

Another tweet humorously remarked, “Lakas maka hereditary ng pics ni Andrea Brillantes hahaha”.

‘Hereditary’ is a 2018 horror film that features a scene where the character Charlie Graham, portrayed by Milly Shapiro, meets a tragic fate with her head sticking out of a moving vehicle, resulting in a fatal accident.

Recently, Brillantes made headlines for her breakup with former boyfriend and basketball player Ricci Rivero. Allegations of infidelity emerged, suggesting Rivero’s involvement with a beauty queen. In the aftermath, Brillantes received sympathy from netizens, who comforted her about the situation, while Rivero faced online backlash.

Nevertheless, Brillantes continues to thrive in her showbiz career and stands strong without proving herself to anyone. Media reports from March revealed that she had an upcoming project with Filipino actor Joshua Garcia.
