Liza Soberano, who recently decided to expand her career, was tagged in the June 19 IG post of a Singapore-based magazine Grazia, where Soberano is the cover artist in their June/July 2023 issue.
The said post received positive reactions from netizens with comments from different well-known personalities including Catriona Gray and ‘Big Little Lies’ star Kathryn Newton.
However, the support that stuck with Soberano was Shay Mitchell’s love towards the post. Mitchell reposted the cover on her Instagram story with the caption, “ABSOLUTELY STUNNING! @LizaSoberano THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING! CAN’T WAIT TO HAVE YOU OUT HERE FOR THIS NEXT CHAPTER! (emoji)”.
Shortly after, Soberano reposted Mitchell’s story with the caption, “Thank you (emojis) Can’t wait to be back!! (emoji)”.
It will be recalled that the two had previously interacted with each other. Mitchell and Soberano were the voices of Alexandra Trese in the Filipino Animated Series ‘Trese.’
Soberano did the Filipino voiceover for the character while Mitchell was chosen for the English voiceover back in 2021.
With this connection, Mitchell followed Soberano on social media and even privately messaged her. Soberano even shared the details of their conversation claiming that the Canadian actress was ‘really sweet’ and said that she hoped to meet the Filipino actress soon.
Soberano later on expressed that she was thrilled in their interaction. “Kinilig nga ako noon,” she once said recalling that exchange.
