On the July 10 episode of ‘E.A.T.,’ veteran TV host-comedian Joey de Leon once again stirred controversy with his statement about being ‘legit.’
Netizens believe that his statement was directed towards the people involved in the longest-running noontime show ‘Eat Bulaga.’ This came amid TAPE Inc.’s preparation for the upcoming 44th anniversary of ‘Eat Bulaga’ on July 29.
De Leon emphasized that TVJ (Tito, Vic, and Joey) and the original Dabarkads are the ‘legit’ ones.
“Kami ang legit yung mga alam n’yo na, peke baligtarin n’yo yung legit.. tigel na kayo.”
In a circulating video on social media, Vic Sotto could be seen silent while he was beside de Leon and the studio audience cheered and applauded.
The controversial statement made by de Leon elicited various reactions on Twitter. Netizens expressed their disappointment.
